Portfolio 3: Bare, Ruin'd Choirs
"Upon those boughs which shake against the cold,
Bare ruined choirs, where late the sweet birds sang."
-Shakespeare, Sonnet LXXIII
SH 389 winds through the outlying areas of Alcalde, NM. Flanked by the bosque, the grand old cottonwoods provide an endless source of inspiration for black and white photography. These photographs were taken in March, 2013, just as the trees were coming into bud, but before their leaves would obscure the spectacular architecture of their branches and texture of their bark.
