Portfolio 3: Route 66

Route 66 is the Mother Road of John Steinbeck's masterpiece, The Grapes of Wrath.  Although most of old Route 66 has vanished, traces - haunted traces - still remain in the Desert Southwest.  These photographs were captured on an old segment of the highway that ran through what is now Painted Desert/Petrified Forest National Park in Arizona.  The ghost of Tom Joad is still there.
